The regular meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to
order by the ivayor, Chas. O. Baker, at 3 P.11. Councilmen present were
Stan Minkler, A.W.Thies,and A.G.Radford.
Mr. D.F.Hartley was proposed to fill the unexpired term of Mr.
Garland T. Jewell. It was moved and carried Mr. Iartley be elected
to fill this vacancy. isiayor Baker administered the oath of office and
I+Ir. Hartley was welcomed and took his place at the Council table.

The report of the Treasurer was read and accepted.
The report of the Police Judge was read and placed on file.
The report of the Water dept. was read and placed on file.
Mr. Minkler reported 4 building permits issued in September.
Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid.

Ordinance No. 217, the budget for 1953, was placed, upon motion,
on its second reading, by title only. Upon motion, U'rdinance 'o.217
was placed on its 3rd. reading and final passage.
It was moved and carried that Cecil V Thomas be granted a
Business license to conduct a building supply company at 14027
Interurban
Itmas moved and carried to hold a special meeting on Tues.,
Oct. 21, at 3 P.I. to discuss water problems. The Clerk was requested
to invite Mr. Reiter and a representative from the Pacific Water Works
Supply Co. to meet with the Council and arrive at a satisfactory
solution of the problem of the extra cost of relaying the condemned
pipe.
It was moved and carried to examine and revise the ordinance
re dogs at the next meeting of Council.
Mr. Henke made a complaint regarding dangerous dogs running
at large in Town.
Meeting adjourned at 9 :45.
