Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, A.W.Thies, Rudolf Regel and A.G.Radford. The minutes of the meeting of January 5 were read and approved as read. Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid. Slade, salary Jan.& overtime The report of the Water dept. was read and placed on file. 5.77 3.25 25.02 35.46 10.00 171.68 Mr. Minkler reported 2 building permits issued in January. He also reported he had informed Mr. Deer,owner of a house at 14233 -57 Ave. S.,that since the house had not been put in a safe condition it had been condemned as unsafe for use as a dwelling. He also sent a letter to the occupants, Mr. Holmes, stating the facts listed above and notifying him that he was living in the house at his own risk. Mr. Deer was present and atated he would correct the unsafe condition as soon as the present occupants moved out and would allow no one to live there until it was made safe and so approved by the Council. Mr. Slade reported he had no replies to his request for some one to tear down the old buildings in the Park. The Clerk was asked to write Mr. Turnbull, County Engineer, concerndng flood control on the river. Ordinance No. 222, an ordinance relating to the Clerk Treas., was, upon motion, placed on its first reading. Ordinance No. 223,an ordinance relating to heating equipment, was, upom motion, placed on its first reading.Upon motion, this reading was continued to the March meeting.
