HomeMy WebLinkAbout1953-03-02 Regular MinutesThe regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 8 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, A.W.Thies, Rudolf Regel and A.G.Radford. The minutes of the meeting of Feb. 2nd. were read and approved as read. A letter from Ernest Campbell, Asst. Director, Bureau of Govern- mental Research, University of Wash. was read. This letter was in reply to an tnguiry from Mayor Baker and contained an opinion from the Attorney General regarding the distribution of traffic fines and forfeitures. It stated the location of the traffic violation rather than the location of the Court in which the violator is prosecuted determines the distribution of traffic fines and forfeitures. Mr. Slade reported Mr. Peltier offered to take down the buildings in the Park for w50.00. It was moved and carried he be paid ,50.00 for taking down the buildings and be required to sign and agreement to remove the material and debris within 30 days. Mr. Radford reported on school affairs. March 2, 1953 Don Leahy, fire chiell, requested a clean up around and behind the fire hall. Mr. Slade offered to help. Upon motion, Grd. #222,relating to Clerk treas. was placed on its.second. reading, by title only. Upon motion, ord.#222 was placed on its.third reading and final passage Upon motion t e.first reading of ord. #223,relating to heating equipment, was completed.
