The regular meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order
by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 3 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan.
Minkler, A.W.Thies, Rudolf Regel and A.G.Radford.
Mr. Watkins, Councilman elect, was invited to sit at the Council table
The minutes of the meeting of March 2nd. were read and approved as read
A letter from County Engineers,answering an inquiry, referred us to the
Army Engineers in matters of flood control along the Duwamish river.
A letter from the Chairman of the King County Chapter of the March of
Dimes was read in which he congratulated the Town and especially our
local Chairman, Mr. Rudolf Hegel for the splendid and unusually large
contribution from the Town of Tukwila. Mayor baker also thanked our
Chairman.
Mr. Baker reported on talks he had with Mr. Morse, Supt. of Water
for the City of Seattle, regarding local water problems. Mr. Morse
agreed to a check of our Master Meter.
Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid.

The report of the Treasurer was read and accepted.
The report of the Water Rept. was read and placed on file.
Mr. Minkler reported five building permits issued in March. lie held
one permit until later in the meeting for a hearing.
Mr. Radford reported on School election coming up soon.
Mr. In Leahy thanked Mr. Slade for hrlping in the Clean up arpund the
Fire Hall.
A letter from Donald Leahy, Fire Chief, recommended the name of Mr.
Nandy Barsanti as Heating Equipment Inspector. Moved and carried this
recommendation be accepted and Mr. Barsanti be appointed.
Upon motion, Ordinance No. 223, relating to Heating Equipment, was
placed on its second reading, by title only. Upon motion, Ordinance No.
223 was placed on its third reading and final passage.
Douglas Henderson who had requested a building permit and a business
license permit explained to the Uouncil the nature of the business in
which he proposed to engage and the kind of building he planned to
erect. It was moved and carried these permits be granted.
