order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 3 P.M. Councilmen present
were Stan Minkler, A.W.Thies, A.G.Radford and Melvin Watkins.
The minutes of the meeting of July 6, 1953 were read and approved
as read.
Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid.

The report of the Water dept. was read and placed on file.
Mr. Minkler reported 3 building permits issued in July.
Upon recommendation of the members of the Building and Zoning
Nommittee it was moved and carried the condemnation of the house
at 14233 -57th. S., formerly owned by H.A.Deer, be lifted.
Mr. Minkler reported on the progress of Mr. Henderson in the
construction of his shop on Interurban Ave. He also reported
investigating further the property of Virgil Waldon, where junk
had been collected.
There was a discussion of the request of Mr. Wm. Pierce of
Foster to bikild a Club House for the Sportmen's Club on S. 144th.
near 55 S., in Tukwila. Mayor Baker appointed Mr. Minkler and Mr.
Radford to meet with him and those interested to further talk over
the matter.
Mr. Minkler presented the request of Mr.

It was moved and carried to transfer 4 from CiMril Defense
to ±''ire Dept.
An invitation from the Fire Dept.igras read, inviting the Mayor
and Councilmen to an all day meeting on Aug. 16. Invitation was
accepted.
Meeting adjourned at 9:50.
