A Special meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to
order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker at 7 :30 P.:. Councilmen present
were Stan Minkler, A.W.Thies, Rudolf Hegel, A.G.Radford and Melvin
Watkins.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss building problems
and to review the budget for 1954.
Mr. Timmons, who had requested a permit to build low cost homes
on property he had secmred on S. 152nd. St., stated he planned to
move in housing units, being sold by the Government.
The Council expressed their reluctance to allow these temporary
houses to be moved into Town and explained to Mr. Timmons they would
have to meet the requirements of the Tukwila Building Code. Mr.
Timmons admitted they were below standard and withdrew his request
for a building permit.
Mayor Baker brieftly reviewed the proposed budget.
Meeting adjourned at 9 :20.
