The regular meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to
order by the Mayor, Chas. O. Baker, at 3 p.m.Councilmen present
were Stan iviinkler, A.W.Thies, Rudolf Regel, A.G.Radford and Melvin
Watkins.
Mayor Baker opened the meeting by calling attention to the fact
that since the last meeting of the Council Myron Slade, the Street,
Water and Park Supt. of TiilFwila had passed away. He asked that the =c1]
Council observe with hire a_:moment of silence in tribute to the mem-
ory of Mr. Slade. Mr. Minkler moved the adoption of rtes. }96, an ex-
pression of the sorrow of the Councilmen and their sympathy for the
family of Mr. Slade. It was seconded and carried. A copy was to be
sent to the family.
The minutes of the December meeting were read and approved as read.
Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid.

The Clerk read the monthly report of the Police Court and placed
it on file.
The report of the Water dept. was read and placed on file.
Mayor Baker state d he was continuing Mrs. Slade as Street, Water
and Park Supt. until a successor to Mr. 6 1ade is hired. He asked the
Street Committee to meet with Mrs. Slade and look over the streets.
He asked them to meet with him on Mon., Jan. 10th. to mebt men
applying for the position of Street, Water Park Supt.
Upon motion Ord. 230, an ordinance revising Ord.# 211, relaying
to Traffic slips or notices, was placed on its first reading. Ord.
230 was, upon motion, placed on its 2nd. reading, by title only.
Upon motion, Ord. 230 was placed on its third reading and final
passage.
