The regular meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to
order by the leayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 3 p.m. Councilmen present
were Stan Minkler, A.W.Thies, Rudolf W. Hegel, A.G.Radford and
melvin Watkins.
The minutes of the meeting of March 7 were read and approved as
read.
A letter from the Board of Directors of School Dist. #406,re-
garding a possible meeting with the Tukwila Town Council, was read.
The letter pointed to the fact that a new school building was soon
to be built near 59th. Ave. S. and So. 149th. St. and problems re-
lating to this event could be talked over at such a meeting. The
Council agreed but suggested it be held after Mayor Baker's return
from his vacation, and a letter to the School Directors should so
state.
The various items of Insurance coming due for payment were
&iscussed.
Current bills were read and upon :notion ordered paid.

The report of water dept. was read and placed on file. The report
of the Police Court was read Mr. Minkler reported 1 building permit
issued in March.The problem of lack of action of the County Health
Dept. was discussed, Mr. Minkler was asked to take care of this.
It was moved and carried that Mr. Minkler act as Mayor during Mayor
