HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-04-04 Regular MinutesApril 4, 1955 The regular meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order by the leayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 3 p.m. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, A.W.Thies, Rudolf W. Hegel, A.G.Radford and melvin Watkins. The minutes of the meeting of March 7 were read and approved as read. A letter from the Board of Directors of School Dist. #406,re- garding a possible meeting with the Tukwila Town Council, was read. The letter pointed to the fact that a new school building was soon to be built near 59th. Ave. S. and So. 149th. St. and problems re- lating to this event could be talked over at such a meeting. The Council agreed but suggested it be held after Mayor Baker's return from his vacation, and a letter to the School Directors should so state. The various items of Insurance coming due for payment were &iscussed. Current bills were read and upon :notion ordered paid. The report of the Police Court was read Mr. Minkler reported 1 building permit issued in March.The problem of lack of action of the County Health Dept. was discussed, Mr. Minkler was asked to take care of this.
