The regular meeting of ythe Tukwila Town Council was called to order
by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 3 p.m. Councilmen present were Stan
Minkler, August Thies, Rudolf Regel, A.G.Radford and Melvin Watkins.
Mayor Baker administered the oath of office to Mr. Regel, re- elect-
ed Councilman.
The minutes of the meeting of June 6 were read and approved as read.
Current bills were read and, upon motion, ordered paid.

The report of the water dept. was read and placed on file.
The Clerk read a letter from the Fire dept., in which they suggest-
ed 4" water mains be installed in extensions to new streets. The Coun-
cil asked the firemen present to report back to the Fire dept. that such
is the policy of the Town Council.
MIr. Minkler reported 3 building permits issued in June.
Mayor Baker congratulated Earl Naylor, Police Judge, on the fine
work he is doing, and upon the splendid record of his dept.
The Clerk presented a request from Herman Anderson that the Town
accept a quit claim deed to a piece of property to be used as a street.
By motion the Council asked the Clerk to,inform Yr. Anderson that the
Town cannot accept any street until a plat has been presented and the
street has been graded, ditched, graveled and a surface applied that will
meet F.H.A.and G.I.specifications.
The Clerk was askew to inform the people moving into the Building
formerly used by the Green River Lumber Co.that it is necessary to make
application for a Business License.
