The regular meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to
order by the Mayor, Chas. O. Baker, at 3 p.m. Councilmen present
were Stan Minkler, A.W.Thies, Rudolf Hegel, A.G.Radford and Melvin
Watkins.
Mr. Baker called for the opening of bids for a new Police car.
Five bids were presented and read; from Valley Garage, rent, Wash.;
Westside Ford, Inc., Seattle, Wash.;Williams and Swanson, Renton,
Wash.; Bothell Chevrolet Co., Auburn, Wash. and Wilson Motor Co.,
Seattle, Wash. Mr. Baker excused Mr. Minkler, Police Judge, yarl
Naylor, Nick Heinz ,Marshal, and Mr. McGinness, Mr. Leahy and Mr.
Parker, Deputy Marshals, to examine the bids and bring in a report.
The minutes of the December meeting were read and approved as
read.
Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid.

It was reported that the Christmas Party, sponsored by the Fire
dept., was a success, 165 children present.

The annual report of the Police dept. was read and placed on file.
Ordinance No. 232, an ordinance regarding livestock, small animals
and fowl. was ,upon motion, placed on its second reading, by title only.
Ord. No.232, was ,upon motion, placed on its 3rd. rv and final
passage.

placed on its second reading, by title only. Ord. No. 233 was, upon
motion, placed on its third reading and final passage.
Mr .Min1k10tOreported that the bid of Bothell Chevrolet best met
the requirements of the call for bids for the police car and the bid
of Valley Garage was second. After careful consideration he moved
the adoption of Res. No. 99, awarding the bid to Bothell Chevrolet
Co. for a new 1956 Chevrolet -210- 4 door Sedan, with required equip-
ment, for $1196.44. Seconded and carried.
Res. No. 100,authorizing Bank signatures, was adopted, giving the
Treasurer permission to deposit Town monies in the So. Central
Branch of the Seattle Trust and Savings Bank.
