The regular meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to
order by the Mayor, Chas. O. Baker, at 3 p.m. Councilmen present
were Stan Minkler, A.W.Thies, Rudolf Hegel, A.G.Radfoed and Melvin
Watkins. Wynn Anderson ,nominated for election as Councilman, was
inzt4ed, by Mayor Baker, to sit at the Council table.
The minutes of the meeting of January 3 were read and approved
as read* The report of the Treasurer was read and accepted. The
report of the Water Dept. was read and placed on file. The report
of the Police dept. was read and placed on file.
Mrs. Jewell being willing members of the Street committee
agreed to trim trees on Mrs. Jewell's property but overhanging
the roadway and a hazard to firemen riding the Fire truck.

Joe Aliment,owner of the Foster Golf Course brought up the
matter of the proposed Black n.iver Dam and predicted if built the
water at flood time would overflow low land in Tukwila, and along
the Duwamish valley. Members of the Council expressed opposition
to this Dam and mooed the County Commissioners be so informed.
Mr. Zepp_was asked to attend the hearing on this proposal and
represent the Town.

The Clerk read a Petition from the Directors of School Dist.
#406 that the Town abandon any future continuation of 59th. Ave.So.
through Tracts 39 and 40, 6 and 7 Interurban Addition to Seattle
in the Town of Tukwila, which Tracts are the property of School
Dist.# 406. It was moved and carried a Hearing on this petition
be held at the next meeting of the Council on March 5, and if yy
objection is raised the petition be granted.
A letter was read stating there would be hearing in Superior
Court on Feb. 27, at 9:30 a.m. regarding the transfer of 25 Beet
of the west side of the new Tukwila School site for street purposes.
Mr. Baker asked Mr. Radford, Mr. Zepp and Mrs. Newton to attend.
Mr. Baker reported that he had laid the water pipes in his new
Addition, black topped the street and desired the Council to make
an inspection of same, and report if satisfactory.
Mr. Radnich spoke for a committee of the Sportsman Club present
and asked if it would be possible for the Club to build a Club
House in Tukwila Park. Mr. Baker appointed MR. Hegel, Mr. Radford
and Mr. Watkins to investigate and report at the Aeitt melting.
Mr. Baker announced an informal meeting of Council Feb.20,3 p.m.
Mrs. Uardner announced a meeting regarding a library extension
and invited the Council to attend, on Feb. 3 at 3 p.m. in the
High School.
Meeting adjourned at 9:50.
