Baker, at 3 p.m. Councilmen present were Stan i August Thies, Rudolf Hegel, A.G.Radford and Melvin Watkins. Wynn Anderson, Councilman elect, was invited to sit at the Council table. Minutes of the meeting of March 5 were read and approved as read. Current bills were read and upon motion, ordered paid. Pollock, insurance The report of the Tresaurer was read and accepted. Mr. Radford,who had been in committee with property owners along 56 P1. S., reported theoproperty ownersagrBed to furnish tile for drainage, the Town would install the tile, do the grading and furnish the gravel. Mr. Radford was excused to attend another meeting. The Clerk reported the inquiry she sent to the office of the County Treasurer concerning the absence of the list of the breakdown on the Real estate Tax statements had been returned, unanswered, with the List of Tax levies in question enclosed. Miss Kato had asked for a permit to build 2 chicken housesin addition to 2 she now has. She desires to have a total of 3,000 chickens which is more than the ordinance governing fowl, will allow. Mr. Hayes of the King County Health dept. reported he had invthstigated and agreed sanitation requirements would be checked by hid dept. The Council told Miss Kato they could notballow her to keep more than 1300 chickens, in keeping with ord. 232. Mr. Baker announced that percolation tests are required before building permits are issued. Forms may be obtained from Mr. itilinkler. The Fire dept. made a request for a stand pipe near the Community Club. The Council approved. Mr. Zepp was instructed to get an estimate on rep4iring streets damaged by winbtr weather. Mr. Hegel, of the Park committee, suggested the boy Scouts and Girl Scouts be asked to build a few tables fob the Park. Ord.# 234, regarding the abandonment of the continuation of 59th. Ave. S. through school property, was upon motion, placed on its 2nd. reading, by title only. Ord.# 234 was, upon motion, placed on its third reading and final passage.
