The report of the Treasurer was read and accepted. The report
of the water dept. was read and placed on file.
Mr. Minkler reported 3 building permits issued in April. He
explained that Mr. Zinke desired to build a new house on the
same lot on which his present small house now stands and asked
the opinion of other members of the Council. Mr. Zinke, who was
present, answered questions. The Council approved granting a
building permit for the new house as requested.
Mr. Baker read a letter from the loire dept. in which they asked
the Council to draw up an ordinance setting up contrmis and regu-
lations governing traffic at the scene of a fire and authorizing
firemen to enter and inspect buildings where fire hazards might
exist. Mr. Baker appointed Mr. Hegel, Mr. Watkins and Mr. Anderson
to work with 3 members of the fire dept. in drawing such an ordi-
nance.
Mr. Zepp reported he planned to do some street work this month.
A group of citizens were present and asked for help in cleaning
up the park. Mrs. Drew stated that a group of Girl Scouts had given
X25.00 toward this project and Boy Scout and Recreational leaders
also wanted to help. Mayor Baker thanked these people for their
interest in the park and promised the Council would co- operate in
every way possible.
Ordinance #235, an ordinance accepting the deed from South
Central School Dist. 406 for street purposes, was placed, by
motion, on its first reading.
An informal meeting of Council was announced for may 21st.,
when street and water problems will be discussed.
