Meeting of I Tukwslar}Town± Counc ±l: 9aIled to ,orderr1 y'the Mayor,
Chas. 0. Baker, at 3 p.m. Councilmen present were Stan winkler,
Rudolf Hegel, A.G.Radford and Wynn Anderson. This date was set for the
Public Hearing on the Petition for annexation of a specified area.
ir. Donald G. Holm, attorney representing owners of an area within
the district requesting annexation, stated his clients do not desire
to be included.
After some discussion Mr Baker conferred with the Council and
stated they would take this protest under consideration and it was
moved and carried this hearing be continued to Monday, September 16,
1957, at 3 p.m. Mr. Baker expressed disappointment but had no desire
to annex any property whose owners did not so wish..
A bill was read and upon motion ordered paid. r'rom the.
Water Fund- Parker buck Sons, Inc. rental of equipment ;,;75.00
Ordinance No. 243, the Budget for 1953, was by..motion, place& on
its first reading.

The Clerk read aletter from i'r. W .W .Kassner regarding street lights
giving information he had received from Puget Sound Power Light Co.,
asking only that the Town be responsible for the current used by the
lights.
It was moved and carried the Town pay for the current used on the
street lights, the cost for the year of 1953 not to exceed ,1650.00,
They favored 150 watt open reflector lights.
The meeting recessed at 10:05 to meet Sept. 16, 1957 to continue
the Public Hearint on the Petition for annexation of the area on the
north and east bdundaries of the Town.
