The regular meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to
order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 8 p.m. Councilmen present
were Stan Minkler, Rudolf Regel, A..G.Radford, Melvin Watkins and
Wynn Anderson.
The minutes of the meeting of November 4th, recessed to Nov. 12
and recessed to Nov. 18 were read and approved as read. The minutes
of the Special meeting of Nov. 26th were read and approved as corrected.
Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid.

Nick Heinz reported for the Police dept. and Mr. Regel for
Council committee regarding the need for street signs in the
recently annexed to the sotbh. It was moved and carried that
purchse and install signs as recommended by Police dept. and
Council committee.

The report of the Water dept. was read and placed on file.
Mr. Minkler reported 5 building permits issued in Nov.
It was announced that Robt. Leahy had been appointed Heating Inspec-
tor. A letter from Bill Aliment, Fire Chief, regarding oil barrels
on the Town hall was read. The Building Inspector promised to work
with the Fire Inspector. By motion the Council approved the appoint-
ment of Robt. Leahy.

Mr. Baker asked the Fire dept. and Water dept. to investigate fire
protection for the Seattle Rendering Works, in the area recently annex-
ed to the Town of Tukwila.

Mr. Minkler reported the roads in the area annexed to the sotbh
in quite good condition. Mr. Zepp was advised to secure the equip-
ment necessary to keep the roads in satisfactory condition.
Mr. Carkeek of Puget Sound Power Light Co. outlined a pro-
gram for street lighting, showing on a map the locatthon of 31
1.50 watt open reflector lights and mounted on goose neck brackets.
The cost to be $21.20 per light per year or $657.20 per year.
It was moved and carried this lighting program be adopted, and
Puget Sound Power Light be authorized to proceed with the install-
ation.
By motion Ordinance No. 249, the Dog ordinance, be placed on
its first reading.

to be opened Jan. 6, 1958.
Mr. Zepp reported he could purchase a sanding attachment for
street equipment for around $515.00. It was moved and carried he be
authorized to buy this attachment.
