The recessed meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to
order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 7:00 P.M. Councilmen present
were Stan Minkler, Rudolf Regel, A.G.Radford, Melvin Watkins and
Wynn Anderson.
By motion ordinance No. 253, amending Urd. 251, was placed on
its second reading by title only, and discussed at length. Bill
Aliment, Fire Chief, recommended that the MI Zoning be kept in Fire
District No. 1.
Mr. Zepp reported for the committee to consider the bids on the
Back Hoe. He recommended the Council accept the bid of Parker Buck
Son of $2,650t.00Oplus tax since it came nearest to meeting the speci-
fications set forth in the call for bids. It was moved and seconded
the bid of Parker Fuck Son be accepted. Motion carried.
Applications for Business Licenses were received by Mrs. Stanley
Smith for a Florist Shop and Mr. Bill Aliment for Merchant Patrol.
By motion these requests were granted.
Mayor Baker appointed a committee of Mr. Wynn Anderson, Mr. melvin
Watkins, Mr. Robt. Kelly and »'r. Joe Aliment to consider applications
for new business licenses and bring in recommendations to the Council.
This date having been set for a public hearing on a petition for
annexation of an area north of the Tukwila town limits Mr. Baker
asked if there were any oral or wkitten objections to this petition.
There being none and the Council having heard and considered the
petition it was moved by Mr. Minkler and seconded by Mr. hegel that
the property included in the petition be annexed to Tukwila effective
as of midnight January 24, 1958. Motion carried.
It was then moved by Mr. Minkler and seconded by Mr. Regel that
Ordinance No. 255, an ordinance annexing property to the Town of
Tukwila, be placed on its first reading. Motion carried.
