The regular meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order
by the Mayor, Chas. G. Baker, at 8 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan
Minkler, Rudolf Regel, A.G.Radford, kelvin Watkins and Wynn Anderson.
Minutes of meetings of Jan.6, 13, 2 0 27 were read and approved as read.
An application from Mrs.Fred Nord to operate a Green House was
received and referred to the Business License Committee.
Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid.

The report of the Treasurer was read and accepted.
The report of the Water dept. was read and placed on file.
Mr. Minkler reported 4 building permits issued in January.
The Councilmen discussed the proposed building Uode, suggesting
possible changes.
Mr. Anderson reported garbage had been dumped on property along the
highway. He promised to follow through on the matter.
Mayor Baker appointed Mr. Regel, Anderson Minkler, Strander and
Cysewski on a committee to investigate the possibility of acquiring
the Water Vistrict south in the newly annexed area.
Mr. Doyle, Chairman of the Annexation Committee, presented a petition
for annexation of an area south of present town limits and recommended
the petition be accepted.

It was moved by Mr. Minkler and seconded by sir. Anderson that the
Council find to its satisfaction that the petition for annexation,
filed with the Council, complies win tne requirements of law and that
the petition be accepted; that February 10,1958 at 8 P.M. be set for a
public hearing thereon and that the Clerk be instructed tp publish said
notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Tukwila and
post notices in 3 public places within the area to be annexed. Motion
carried.
Mr. Lutes asked if it would be possible for the town to vacate 57th
Avenue South between State Highway 5 -M and the present end of 57th South
He was told Council members and thembers of the Planning Commission
would be glad to meet with property owners interested.
Meeting recessed at 10 P.M. to meet on rebruary 10, at 3 P.M.
