February 10, 1958
The recessed meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order
by the Mayor, Chas. O. Laker, at 3 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan
inkier, Rudolf hegel, A.G.Radford, Melvin Watkins and Wynn Anderson.
This date having been set for a public hearing on a petition for
annexation of an area eaat of the present town limits mayor Baker
asked if there were any oral or written objections to this petition.
There being none and the Council having considered the petition it was
moved by Mr.Minkler and seconded by Mr. Radford that the property in
cluded in the petition be annexed to Tukwila effective midnight February
21, 1958. Motion carried.
It was then moved by Mr. Minkler and seconded by Mr. Regel that Ord.
No. 257, annexing property to the Town of Tukwila be placed on itd first
reading. Motion carried.
Mr. Ronald Doyle, Chairman of the Annexation committee presented a
petition for annexation of an area south of the present town limits, and
recommended the petition be accepted.
It was moved by Mr. mizikler, seconded by Mr. Regel that the Council
find to its satisfaction that the petition for annexation, filed with
the Council, complies with the requirements of law and that the petition
be accepted; that Monday, February 17, 1958 at 3 P.M. be set for a public
hearing thereon and that the Clerk be instructed to publish said notice
in a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Tukwila andi^pabt
notices in 3 public places within the area to be annexed. Motion carried.
