The recessed meeting of the May 5th meeting of the Tukwila Town
Council was called to order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker. Councilmen
present were Stan Minkler, Rudolf negel, Melvin Watkins and Wynn
Anderson. iiir. Frese and Mr. Doyle, Louncilmen elect were also present.
Mayor Baker asked for a moment of silence as a tribute to the memory
of Mrs. Mary Walkup, who passed away during the month of May. Mrs.
Walkup was the widow of a former Mayor of Tukwila and also the mother
of a former Ivlayor.
lt_Br t moved by Stan Minkler and seconded by Mr. Watkins that Reso-
lution 106, recommending Speed Limits on .tote Highways in the Town
of Tukwila be adopted. Motion carried.
There was a discussion of requests for the change of other speed
limits. Mr. Baker asked kr. Naylor to investigate these requests.
Mr. Minkler reported he now has a map of the Nelson Water lines. We
are waiting for the owners and patrons to settle spine personal matters.
A Permit wasereceived from the Northern Pacific Railway Co., covering
a water pipe line and fire hydrant on their Right of Way at black River
station. It was moved and carried that this permit be found satisfactory
and that the mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign this Permit for the
Town of Tukwila. This permit requires a yearly rental fee of .;10.00, to
be paid in advance.
Upon motion the following bill was ordered paid.
Northern Pacific Railway Co., yearly rental fee for water pipe :;10.00
Meeting adjourned at 3 :55.
