order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 8 P.M. Councilmen present
were titan Minkler, A. G. Radford, Wynn Anderson, Lawrence Frese and
Ronald Doyle.
Mayor Faker read the resolutions adopted by the Association of
Washington Cities at their convention held in Spokane last month.
These resolutions are actively supported by the Association of Wash-
ington Cities.
The minutes of the meeting of May 5th and may 19, were read and
approved as read.
Current bills were examined and upon motion ordered paid.

Mr. Minkler reported no building permits issued in May.
Mr. Baker appointed Mr. Rudolf;, represent the Town Council on the
Advisory Council of School Dist. No. 406. He stated he felt Mr. Hegel
was well fitted for this position.
Mr. Zepp reported arrangements were not yet completed with the
Independent Water Co.
Mr. Anderson reported a Mr. Colman Aldrich had donated a swing and
slide to Tukwila Park. The Council, by motion, thanked Mr. Aldrich and
instructed the Clerk to write him a letter to this effect.

Mayor baker thanked Mrs. Don Leahy and idrs. A. G. Radford for the
excellent and interesting manner in which they had presented the Past
History of the Town. This had been their monthly task for the past year

and appreciation.
The Park and Playground reported on the gmestion of permitting
saddle horses in the Park and on the streets, They recommended the nark
be reserved for people and should be so posted.
Mr. Baker reported on the Convention of the Association of Washington
Cities. He discovered tha problems of Tukwila are much different to the
problems of most 4th Class towns in the State; due to our location near
larger cities.
Upon motion Resolution 107 was adopted. This is a contract for
Jtreet laighting by Puget Sound Power c,& Light Co.
Mayor Baker thanked MR. Regel and Mr. Watkins, retiring Councilmen,
for their excellent service record while they were members of the
Council. He stated these past years had been years of real achievement
in which each had taken a leading part.
Upon motion meeting adjourned sine die.
Mayor Chas. G. Baker called the new council to order and administered
the oath of office to Lawrence Frese and Ronald Doyle, newly elected
Councilmen and-to Mrs. Lois Newton, elected Treasurer-Clerk.
Upon motion, Resolution 108, expressing the appreciation of the
Council for Mr. Hegel, was adopted. Upon motion resolution 109,
in which the Council thanked Mr. Watkins for his years of service, was
adopted. Mr. Regel and vir. Watkins responded.
It was moved and carried permission be granted the Fire dept. to
present a supervised display of fireworks at the Foster Golf Club house
at the conclusion of the Jubilee Celebration on Sunday evening, June 8.
Announcement was made of the events of the Jubilee Celebration on June
6, 7 and 8.
