HomeMy WebLinkAbout1958-10-02 Regular Minutes1. Tukwila Master Drainage Plan. October 2, 1958 The Specia meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 7 :40 P.M., the Tukwila Planning Commission meeting jointly with them. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, A. G. Radford, Wynn Anderson, R. K. Doyle and D. R. Frese. Members of the Planning Commission present were John Strander, Carl bergstrom, Gerald Cysewski, Wells B. McCurdy, Joe Aliment, Robt. Kelly and Henry Graves. Tony Burzynski, Engineer with John Graham Co... and Frank Zepp, Superintendent, were also present. Mayor Baker stated the purpose of the joint meeting was to study and complete the Comptehensive Plan for the State Highway Department on the Freeway. Mr. Cysewski stated it would be impossible to estimate the cost of the relocation of utilities without knowledge of the specific location of the Freeway. Mayor Baker read a letter he received from Mr. Mchay's office stating he could not give us a specific location of the Freeway and asked us to base our estimate on the tentative location. Mr. Burzynski reported on the progress on three Master Plans his office is working on. The Plans are: 2. Tukwila Master Sewer Plan. 3. Tukwila Master Water Plans. These Plans are 90% complete. Mr. Baker reported that Mr. McKay's office had asked for our R oad Map, Comprehensive Plan, Zoning ordinance, Water Map, Sewer leap and Drainage map. ,Mr Baker asked Mr. Strander if he had any comments to make on the Three Master Plans There being none from any member of the Planning Commission Mr. McCurdy moved the Planning Commission accept the Master Drainage, Sewer and Water Plans as presented by Mr. Burzynski; motion carried. Mayor Baker asked for discussion of the Plans by the Council. Mr. Frese moved the Council accept the Plans as presented; motion carried. Mr. Burzynski said the plans would be completed about uctober 10th. 7 Mayor Baker read &.letter received from H. D. Creager asking him to attend a meeting at Renton Oct. 9th. The purpose of the meeting being to study the Economic Development of the Green River Valley. Other cities to be present are Auburn, Kent and Renton. Mr. baker asked Mr. Burzynski to leave space in the Title Block on the Master Plans for signatures of the Mayor, Planning Commission Chairman, Town Clerk and Town Engineer.
