HomeMy WebLinkAbout1958-10-06 Special MinutesOctober 6, 1958 The regular meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order by the Mayor, Chas. O. Baker, at 8 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, A. G. Radford, Wynn Anderson, D. R. Frese and R. K. Doyle. Mr. John Dobson, attorney, also present. The minutes of the meeting of September and the Special meeting of October 2nd were read and approved as read. Current bills were examined and approved and upon motion ordered paid. The report of the Water Dept. was read and placed on file. Mr. Minkler reported 7 Building permits issued in oeptember. Mr. John Duff presented a replat of property he owns on 56 S. and requested the approval of the Council. It was moved and carried the Council approve the replat as presented and as recommended by the Planning Commission. A request from Mrs. Jerry Hamilton for permission for a Pre School group to use the Town Hall was considered. It was moved and carried permission be granted for the coming year. streets in town be striped. It was from Interurban Avenue South to South 147th 53rd South and South 180th, from the West be striped. Mr. Baker suggested the Zepp to work on this improvement. Mayor Baker read a report from the Public Service Commission, approving the sale of the Independent Water Dept. to the Town of Tukwila. Upon motion Ord. 261, the budget for 1959,.was placed on its second reading. By motion Ord. 261 was placed on its third reading and final passage, Upon motion Ord. 262, the franchise with Seattle City Light, was placed on its second reading. By motion of Stan Minkler Ord. 262 was placed on its 3rd reading and final passage, motioned seconded and carried. A roll call vote on this motion showed Stan Minkler voting "yes A. G. Radford "yes Wynn Anderson "yes R. K. Doyle "yes" and L. R. Frese "yes Upon motion Ord. 263, ancordinance revising the 1953 budget, was placed on its first reading. 11 a letter he is preparing to send out to water users in rates by Seattle Water dept. at 10:15 to meet at 5 P.M., October 20th.
