by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 8 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan
Minkler, A. G. Radford, Wynn Anderson, R. K. Doyle and L. R. Frese.
The minutes of the meeting of January was read and approved as read.
Current bills were examined and upon motion ordered paid.

The report of the Treasurer was read and approved. The report of
the Water dept. was read and placed on file.
Mr. Minkler reported 5 building permits issued in January.
Mr. reported on School matters.
Resolution No. 112, appreciation of the fine work of Police Judge,
bar]. Naylor, was upon motion, adopted.

The resignation of Carl Bergstrom, as Police Judge, was accepted
with regret.. It was moved and carried the Council recommend to the
County Commissioners that Mr. Lee Phillips be appointed Justice of
the Peace for Tukwila.
Mayor Baker appointed Eugene Ives to the Planning Commission, his
term of office to expire on Jan.2, 1960. By motion the Council approv-
ed this appointment.
Mr. Baker announced the annual Census to be taken in March. he
appointed Mr. Wynn Anderson Chairman in charge.

Mr. Baker read an invitation to the Town to join in a "Statewide
Beautification Program". He appointed Mr. John Strander chairman for
Tukwila as a member of the Government Committee.
Meeting recessed at 9:55 to meet on r'eb. 16 at 8 p.m.
