March 16, 1959
The recessed meeting of the Tukwila Town council was called to
order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Laker, at 3 P.M. Councilmen present
were Stan Minkler, A. G. Radford, Wynn Anderson and R. K. Doyle.
This date having been set for a public hearing on a petition for
annexation of an area south of present town limits Mayor Laker as1ed
if there were any oral or written objections to this petition. John
Dobson, town attorney, stated he had invewtigated and found the
owners of more than 75% in value of the area seeking annexation had
signed the petition.
Stan iLinkler moved the petition be accepted and tat the property
included in the petition be annexed to the Town of Tukwila effective
midnight March 271,. 1959, seconded and carried.
Mr. Minkler moved that ordinance No. 269, annexing the area
south of Tukwila town limits be placed on ist first reading, seconded
and carried. By motion ordinance No. 269 was placed on its second
reading. By motion Ordinance No. 069 was place on its third reading
and final passage. Roll call showed Stan minkler voting "yes; A. G.
Radford voting "yes Wynr} Anderson voting "yes" and Ronald Doyle
voting "yes
Meeting recessed at 9 :15 to meet on Thursday March 19 at 3 p.m.
