HomeMy WebLinkAbout1959-04-07 Adjourned Minutes April 7, 1959 Representatives of South Seattle eater company presented a proposal to furnish water to the area annexed south of So. 154th Street. Mr Wm. Morton explained contemplated improvements and future development of their existing facilities. The Council promised to give it careful study. Meeting recessed at 1J:00 P.M. to meet on April 8, 1959, at 8 :00 P.M. The recessed meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 3 :90 Councilmen present were Stan winkler, A. G. Radford and Wynn Anderson. Application from the Seattle -First rational bank for a permit to operate a bank in Tukwila was presented to the Council. Mr. Minkler moved the request be referred to the License Committee, Er. Radford seconded the motion and it was carried. Also present were John Dobson, town attorney, George McBroom, attorney for Southcenter, Inc., Mr. Burzenski, engineer for Southcenter, Inc. and Mr. Wells McCurdy, president of Southcenter, Inc. There was a very thorough discussion of the relocation of water lines in the South Center area. The Town Council agreed to the relocation of the pipe lines and of the easements further north in the South Center Tract.
