A Special meeting of the Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor,
Chas. C. Baker, at 7:00 P.M. L present were Stan link1er.
A. G. Radford, Wynn Anderson and L. R. Frese.
Th purpose of this meeting was to discuss the request for permission
to sell fireworks in Tukwila and to receive a petition for annexation.
Mr. Aliment presented a petition for annexation of an area north and
west of present town limits.

i1r. Minkler moved that the Council find that the petition for
annexation filed with the Council complies with the requirements of
law and that the petition be accepted, that May 4, 1959, at :00 P.M.
in the Council chambers of the Town 1-all be set as the time and place
for a public heraing thereon, and that notices of same be published and
posted as required by law, seconded by irir. Radford and carried.
Council again took up the request for a permit to sell fireworks in
Tukwila. Every phase of the subject was discussed with i.ir. brown, who
represented the Western States rireworks Company.
It was moved by Mr. Frese that Mr. Anderson, Chairman of the License
Committee, draw up a License Permit for the sale of Fireworks, seconded
and carried.
Mr. Anderson moved an ordinance be prepared covering the Sale of rire-
works in Tukwila, seconded by mr. Fres and carried.
Mr. Anderson moved that a permit be granted the Western States Fireworks
8ompany to sell fireworks in Tukwila, seconded by Mr. Radford and
carried. Roll call vote showed Mr. winkler voting "yes Ur. Radford
voting "yes", :,ir. Anderson voting "yes" ana Mr. Frese voting "yes". Mr.
Doyle, who had contacted the Clerk indicated he if present, would vote
yes"
