HomeMy WebLinkAbout1959-04-23 Public Hearing Minutes - RezoningWater Fund Tax Commission, Lxcise tax March April 23, 1959 The recessed meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order by the mayor, Chas. O. Laker, at 3 :00 .e.Iai. Councilmen present were Stan l'inkler, A. G. Radford and Wynn Anderson. This being the date set for a Public Hearing on a request for a rezoning of a certain area from the existing E.R.O. zone to a C -PR zone, Mayor baker after reading the Notice of Public Hearing as published in the Seattle Times of April 9, 1959, asked for either written or oral protests to this request. He also presented a recommendation from the Tukwila Planning Commission that the Council so rezone the described area. Mr. Minkler moved that the Council accept this recommendation of the Planning Commission that a certain described area be rezoned from the existing E.R.O. zone to a C -PR zone, as described in Tukwila Ord. No. 251; motion seconded by Mr. Radford and carried. Mr. lylinkler moved that Ord. No. 274, amending the Use District Maps which are a part of Ord. No. 251, the Tukwila Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance; be placed on its first reading, seconded and carried. Moved by ivir. Minkler that Ord. No. 274 be placed on its second reading, seconded and carried. Moved by ivir. Minkler that Ord. No. 274 be placed on its third reading and final passage. Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid. Current Lxpense Fund John W. Dobson, travel expense April 2 Mr. iiinkler reported the Seattle -First rational bank were moving a temporary building onto a lot on S. 154th Street, said building to be used as a bank, which would be occupied soon. Meeting recessed at 3 :25 to meet on April 29, at T :00 P,H.
