June 29, 1959
The recessed meeting of the Tukwila 'town Council was called tp
order by the Mayor, Chas. O. baker, at '7:30 P.M. councilmen present
were Stan Minkler, A. G. liadford, Wynn Anderson and L. h. Frese.
This being the date set for a Public hearing on a Petition for
annexation Mr. baker asked if their were any written or oral protests
to this annexation. There being; none Mr. Anderson moved that the
Council find that the Petition for annexation filed with the Council
complies with the requirements of law anct that the prober included
in- tbb�p9ttt ibn be annexed effective July 4, 1959.
Mr. Anderson moved that Ord. No. 232, annexing property to the
Town of Tukwila be placed on its first reading, seconded and carried.
By motion, 8'rd. No. 282 was placed on its second reading, seconded
and carried. By motion Ord. No. 232 was placed on its third re&_ding
and final passage, seconded ana carried.
Mr. Baker reported Mr. Doyle, Mr. Ives and mr. Stanley Smith,
appointed on a Public *ty committee would appreciate assistance from
any interested.
Mr. Laker asked Mr. Radford to contact the County Commissioners
regarding a joint responsibility on the bridge at So. 130th st.
John Strander, Chairman of the Planning Commission presented a
recommendation from the Planning commission that the Council rezone
all those areas lying adjacent to the north edge of the itenton-Three
Tree Point Road which are presently zoned R -4 and L -R -G, as defined
in Tukwila ordinance lvo. 251, to C -1, as aefined in said ordinance.
LIr. Drew made objection to this rezoning. withers protesting were
present.
Mr. Frese moved the Council set a Public Bearing on this re-
commendation of the Planning Commission,sceonded and carried. I,ir.
Baker set July 20, 1959 for a Hearing and the Clerk was advised to
have this Hearing date advertised in the Seattle Times.
