The regular meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order
by the Mayor, Charles 0. Baker, at 8 P.M. Councilmen present were Stan
Minkler, A. G. jiadford, Wynn Anderson, R. K. Doyle and L. R. Frese.
Sealed bids were received and opened for a heavy duty, used, diesel
powered grader. Bids;.Were submitted by John plug Co., Yakima, Wash.
and by Sahlberg Equipment, Inu., 6950 4th Ave. S., Seattle. The bid
of Sahlberg equipment being the lowest and most nearly complying with
the specifications was by motion accepted.
Minutes of the June meetings were read and approved as read.
Current bills were examined and upon motion ordered paid.

Mr. Baker announced a new branch of the Seattle -First National
Bank was now open in Tukwila. Mr. Doyle moved the town funds be transferred
to this bank, seconded and carried.
Mr. kinkier reported 8 building permits issued in June.

Mr. Baker the sale of Fireworks had been conducted in a very orderly
manner, and e btated the town was very well satisfied with the conduct
of all concerned. Mr. Minkler agreed and especially commended the
police officers. Mr. Parker,.town Marshal,reported traffic had been
handled well. Mr. Brown thanked the town officials for their courtesy
and Mr. taker thanked Mr. Brown for his cooperation
Mr. Radford reported the Street committee had inspected the streets
and specifications were ready for street resurfacing, ft was' roved- and c< r
carried we advertise fox bids on street work, bids to be opened Aug.3rd.
Meeting recessed at 9 :25 to meet on July 13 at 8 P.M.
