HomeMy WebLinkAbout1959-07-28 Special Minutes - Rezoning Public HearingThe recessed meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to
order by the Mayor, Chas. 0. Baker, at 7 P.M. Councilmen present
were Stan Minkler, A. G. Radford, Wynn Anderson and L. R. Frese.
This meeting having been called to continue the Hearing on the
proposed rezoning of the area lying adjacent to the north edge of
the Lenton -Three Tree Ooint Road Mayor Maker read the minutes of
the council meeting of July 20, notes taken by Mr. Doyle, at this
meeting and discussed the minutes of the Planning commission re-
garding this rezoning.
Mr. Baker said the Council members had carefully studied these
minutes and had also reviewed E -R -0 zoning which they agreed was
restrictive in some instances.
Mr. Anderson moved a vote be taken by the Council on the re-
zoning, seconded by Mr. Radford and carried.
The question was- "Shall we rezone the area mentioned above
to C -1 zone".
Mr. Minkler voted "yes".
Mr. Frese voted "no'.
Mr. Anderson voted "no
Mr. Radford voted "no".
Mr Frese moved the Council instruct the Planning Commission to
place a review of the E -R -G0 zone and the variance Ordinance on the
agenda of the next meeting df the Planning Commission, seconded by
kr. Anderson and carried.
A letter from Mr. C. E. Brown was read in which he stated he was
making the final payment on the Fire works permit and enclosing also
a breakdown on his deposits in the bank. The letter authorized any
member of the Town Council the privilege of examining the records.
Mr. Frese moved the Council accept the report of l'Ar. brown as
presented in his letter, seconded by kr. kinkier and carried.
Mr. George Drew thanked the Council for theit careful consideration
of the proposed rezoning.
