order by the Mayor, Charles O. Laker at 8 P.M. Councilmen present
were Stan Minkler, Wynn Anderson and L. R. Frese.
The minutes of the October meeting were read and approved as read.
Mr. baker Read a letter from Gregory Hastings, Supervisor of the
Division of Flood Control of the State Department of Conservation and
Development, in which he stated he favored a three way partnership of
State- County Tukwila in the control of the Duwamish and Green rivers.
Letters from Ton Magnuson, Congressman, and Dewayne Kreager,
Director of the State bepartment of Commerce and Economic Development,
promised support of our recommendations for adequate access to the
major highway interchange in Tukwila. A letter from V Rhodes,
President of Thriftways, Inc. was also read.
Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid.

The report of the Treasurer was read and accepted.
The report of the Water dept. was read and placed on file.
Sgt. Morgan of "C" Battery 4th iviissile Battalion showed pictures
demonstrating a Nike based in this area. He invited us to visit
the unit near Renton.
After a brief recess the Council meeting was resumed.
Mr. Minkler reported 3 building permits issued in October; with
a valuation of $19,400.
The Clerk was asked to write a letter to Dick 4arstensen regarding
the condition of his property on Interurban Avenue South
Mr. Zepp reported he was working on the drainage problem of Mr.
Flink.
Mr. Frese moved Ord. No. 293 the Variance ordinance, be placed
on its second reading, seconded by lir. Winkler and carried. Mr.
Frese moved Ord. No. 293 be placed on its third reading and final
6assage, seconded by Mr. xinkler and carried.
By motion meeting adjourned at 9 :55.
