Baker, at 7:30 p.m. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, A.G. hadford, Wynn Anderson, I. K. Doyle and Stan Smith. Current bills were read and upon motion ordered paid Current Expense Lee Phillips, salary Police Judge, Jan. 59.25 Victor Fuel Qils, stove oil, fire dept. 39.21 Union Oil Co. of California, gas, Police, Fire depts. 144.72 B.E. Wickham, labor material, bulletin board 49.25 Black River quarry, material, flood control 961.11 Water Fund Union Oil Co. of California, gas, liov. Dec.'59 Street Fund Black River quarry, crushed rock Dec. Victor Fuel Oils, diesel oil, stove oil, shop Union Oil Co. of California, gas oil February 11, 1960(continued) Mayor baker introduced Mr. Warren C. Gonnason, Assistant County Engineer and Mr. Bruce Forbes, County River Improvement Engineer, who had accepted mayor baker's invitation to meet with the Council and talk over flood control problems. Mayor Laker outlined our problems and our need for assistance to repair river damage and prevent future loss, due to floods. mir. Gonnason stated the position of the County theit interest in river improvement and their own lack of sufficient funds. he stated they would secure forms for the town to fill out to apply for assistance from the State of Washington department of Conser- vation. Mr. Forbes agreed to make an inspection, with Mr. Zepp, to determine the areas of river needing repair. iviayor baker thanked :'ir. Gonnason and Mr. Forbed for meeting with the Council and for their promise of continued interest. Meeting recessed at 9:30 to meet on Friday, February 26, at 7:30 P.M.
