HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-04-18 Adjourned MinutesThe recessed meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to order by the Mayor, Charles u. Baker. Councilmen present were tan Minkler, A. G. Radford, Wynn Anderson, R. K. Doyle and Stan Smith. E. W. Ives and Jerry Hamilton, Councilmen elect, and.:John D. Ehrlichman and A. W. Hodges, attorneys were also present. r Mayor Baker informed the Cpuncil that on April 6th he had by letter informed Ivir. John Dobson, town attorney, that town officials suggested Mayor Baker appoint a different attorney for the town, some one who would be able to devote more time to town affairs. iviayor Baker stated he had received no reply from kr. Dobson and concluded Mr. Dobson was in agreement. Mr. Doyle moved Mayor Baker terminate the appointment of Mr. Dobson as town attorney, seconded by Mr. kinkier and carried. Mayor Baker questioned Mr. Ehrlichman as to his willingness to act as Tukwila attorney. He stated he would prefer to include the members of his firm and not act alone, as attorney. Mayor Baker explained many of the current problems now facing the town Council and other matters on which an attorney would be consulted. Since Mr. Ehrlichman state he was willing to act as town attorney Mayor Baker appointed him Town._Attotn ;7 with the his staff would work with him. Mr. Minkler moved the Council approve this appointment, seconded by Mr. Doyle and carried. Mayor Baker reported forms, requesting assistance in flood control, had been prepared. Mr. Doyle moved these requests.be approved, seconded by ''r. Minkler and carried. Bills for payment of Industrial insurance and'medical aid for the first quarter were presented and upon motion ordered paid. Current Expense, 04.72 Water Fund, 9.25 Street Fund, 26.36 Metro and its impact on Tukwila was discussed at some length. Meeting was adjourned at 9:35 p.m. April 13, 1960 3 i_Z Li Charles u.
