Laker, at 3 :00 p.m. Councilmen present were Stan Minkler, A. G. Radford, Wynn Anderson and R.Y. Doyle. Also present were E. W. Ives and Jerry Hamilton, Councilmen elect. The minutes of the April meeting were read and approved as read. The report of the Treasurer was read and accepted. The report of the Water dept. was read and placed on file. There was some discussion on this request. Mr. Minkler stated there was a need for street lights in an area i in the north part of town. Mr. Radford moved we install 3 lights in this area, seconded by Mr. Minkler and carried. Mayor maker brought up the :natter of the Town taking the annual gensus. Mr. Anderson saia he ana his wife woula be glad to take the Census again this year. Mayor Baker stated this was a real civic contribution and thanked Mr. Anderson. Mayor Baker presented a recommendation from the Tukwila Planning Commission that a zoning of M -1 be applied to the area annexed to the town under Ordinance No. 299. Mr. Minkler moved we accept the recommendation of the Planning Commission and zone the area des- cribed in Ordinance No. 299, seconded by lair. Radford ana carried. Mr. Doyle moved ord. No. 304 applying a zoning of M -1, Light Industry, to the area annexed under ordinance No. 299, be placed on its first reading, seconded by Mr. Minkler and carried. Mr. Radford moved Ord. No. 304 be placed on its second readinf, seconded by Mr. Doyle and carried. Mr. Doyle moved Ord. No. 304 be placed on its third reading and final passage, seconded by Mr. Anderson, and carried. Mr. Minkler voting "yes Mr. Radford voting "yes Mr. Anderson voting "yes" and Mr. Doyle voting "yes Mr. Doyle moved Ordinance No. 305, amending era. No/303, be placed on its first reading, seconded by Mr. Radford and carriedf Mr. Radford moved Ord. No. 305 be placed mn its second reading, Di seconded by Mr. Anders a n carried. Mr. Doyle moved Ord. No. 305 be placed on its third gnd final passap seconded by Mr. Anderson and carried Mr. Minkler voting "yes Mr. Radford voting "yes Mr. Anderson voting "yes" and Mr. -%oyle voting "yes". Mr. Ives made some suggestions to make the town more attractive. Mayor Baker noted that the newly elected Councilmen would take office in June. He introduced Mr. Ives and Mr. Hamilton, Councilmen elect. Mayor Baker commended Mr. Anderson, who will be going out of office next month, and thanked him for his faithful and efficient service to the town dyring the past years.
