The regular meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to
order by the Mayor, Charles O. baker, at 8:00 P.M. Councilmen
present were Stan Minkler, A. G. Radford, R. K. Doyle, E. W. Ives
and Jerry Hamilton.

This date having beemset for a Public Hearing on an annexation
petition Mayor Baker asked the Clerk to read said petition. He asked
if there were any written or oral objections to the petition. There
being none Mr. Minkler movedLthat since the Council had previously it
found that the petition complied with the requirements of law the
Council approve said petition and instruct the Clerk to prepare an
Ordinance annexing the area described in the petition, seconded by
Mr. Doyle and carried.
The minutes of the June meetings were read and approved as read.
This date and the hour of 8:00 having been set for a Public Hearing

ation of the Planning Commission and that an ordinance be drawn up
rezone the area described, seconded by Mr. Doyle and carried.
Correspondence regarding the recently discovered data concerning
the original Tukwila Town limits was discussed at length. Copies of
old maps were examined. According to these mums from the County
Commissioners' Journal of June 16, 1903 there is an area that in
.some manner has been deleted from prevailing Tukwila maps. Mayor
Baker is working with the County Assessor's office to have this area
restored to Tukwila.
Current bills having been examined it was moved and carried they
be paid.
The report of the Treasurer was read. the report of the Water
Department was placed on file.
This date and the,lioAp of 8:45 having been set for a Public Hearing
on a rezone of brookvale Garden Tracts, Mayor baker re-
quested the recommendation of the Planning Commission be read. There )L'
being no protests Mr. Hamilton moved the recommendation of the Planne
ing Commission be approved and an ordinance be drawn up rezoning this
area, seconded by Mr. Minkler and carried.
Mr. Minkler reported five building permits issued in June.
A letter from Mr. Hayes Evans, Director King County Sanitary
Operation Department, was acknowledged, in which Mr. Evans req &ested
permission to use the Community Disposal Site, now located in Tukwi &a,
Mr. Hamilton moved the Council grant this request that the Tukwila
Community Disposal Site be used as a transfer station, seconded by
Mr. Doyle and carried.

Mr. Doyle moved Ordinance No. 306, annexing property to the Town
of Tukwila, be placed on its first reading, seconded by Mr. Ives and
carried. Mr. Doyle moved Ordinance No. 306 be placed on its second
reading, seconded by Mr. Minkler and carried. Mr. Hamilton moved
Ordinance No. 306 be placed on its third reading and final passage,
seconded by Mr. Minkler and carried.

Mr. Doyle moved Ordinance No. 308, rezoning a portion of Tract 35
of Brookvale Garden Tracts and other unplatted area, be placed on its
first reading, seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried. Mr. Doyle moved
Ordinance No. 308 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Mr.
Hamilton and carried. Mr. Doyle moved Ordinance No. 308 be placed on
its third reading and final passage, seconded by Mr. Hamilton and
carried.
The Council discussed a request from Morrison Knudson Company
regarding closure of a portion of 57th Avenue So. Mr. Doyle moved
this request be granted and an agreement be drawn up setting forth
the provisions of same, seconded by Mr. Minkler and carried.
