The recessed meeting of the Tukwila Town Council was called to
order by the lvlayor, Uharles 0. Laker, at P.M. Councilmen pr esent
were Stan Minkler, E.W. Ives, R.L. Doyle and Gerry Hamilton.
Bills were presented ana upon motion ordered paid.
Current Lxpense Fund
Board for Volunteer Firemen, fee for 1 fireman 3.0j
Street Fund
Rainier Asphalt Paving Company, 35% contract street work 3,720.13
A request was received from Metro for data on storm and sanitary
sewers in Tukwila. The clerk was instructed to reply that at present,
the town has no sewage system but we are working with other Valley
Cities an a Drainage program.
Mr. Hamilton reported that the building now occupied by Pops
Fixit Shop had not been made safe for business location. Mayor
Baker recommended Mr. Blakely be advised his business license cannot
be renewed unless the building he occupies is unproved as required
by the Council. The Fire Chief, Nick heinz concurred in this
requirement.
Mr. Ives moved Ordinance 312, amending Ordinance 309, be placed an
its first reading, seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried. Mr.
Hamilton moved Ordinance. 312 be placed on its second reading, seconded
by Mr. Doyle and carried. Mr. Hamilton moved Ordinance 312 be placed
on its third reading and final passage, seconded by Doyle and
carried.
Mayor baker and members of the Council talked briefly on problems
of flood control.
By motion meeting adjourned at 9 :50.
