Resolution No. 1288 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, EXPRESSING APPRECIATION FOR THE TERM OF
SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS OF TUKWILA GIVEN BY STEVE
LAWRENCE, TUKWILA CITY COUNCIL MEMBER.
WHEREAS, Mr. Lawrence was elected to office in 1989 and served for four years as a Council
Member on the Tukwila City Council; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lawrence was elected by his peers to serve as Council President in 1993; and
WHEREAS, during his term, Mr. Lawrence promoted legislation influencing parks and open
spaces, neighborhood improvements, protection against airport expansion, involvement with the
school districts, and support of the capital improvement plans; and
WHEREAS, he has participated actively on Council committees, presided as Council
President and Mayor Pro Tempore, and has fully given of his time to represent citizens of
Tukwila;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
On behalf of the citizens of Tukwila, the Mayor and Council Members express sincere thanks
to Steve Lawrence for four years of dedicated service to the City of Tukwila as Council Member.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
Regular Meeting on this day of January, 1994.
