Resolution No. 1320 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF MINKLER SHOPS LUNCHROOM IMPROVEMENTS AT THE CITY
MAINTENANCE FACILITY LOCATED AT 600 MINKLER BLVD, AS
PROVIDED IN RCW 35.23.352.
WHEREAS, the City did solicit competitive Bids for the Minkler Shops Lunchroom
Improvements; and
WHEREAS, such bids were opened by the City Clerk's Office and read aloud on March
22, 1995; and
WHEREAS, bids were received from Simmons Construction, Ellis Construction,
DRMS, Inc., and Baltic Design, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, each bid was reviewed for conformance to the formal bid specifications
issued at the time bids were solicited; and
WHEREAS, all bids exceeded the budgeted amount and the Engineer's Estimate for the
project; and
WHEREAS, Washington State Statutes (RCW 35.23.352) provides for the rejection of
any or all bids by resolution of the City Council;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. All bids for the Minkler .Shops Lunchroom Improvements are hereby
rejected.
Section 2. All Bid Bonds shall be returned to the prospective bidders without penalty.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof this 7' day of 1995.
