Resolution No. 1353 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING
APPLICATION OF FUNDING ASSISTANCE FOR AN
AQUATIC LANDS ENHANCEMENT ACCOUNT
PROJECT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 79.24.580, RCW state funding
assistance has been authorized and made available to aid in financing the cost of land
and the construction of facilities for public access to, and aquatic land enhancement of,
state -owned aquatic lands, and
WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila considers it in the best public interest to develop
access routes and educational exhibits as part of the Tukwila Pond Park Project,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The mayor shall be authorized to make formal application to the
Department of Natural Resources.
Section 2. Any fund assistance so received shall be used in the development of
public access facilities and wetland educational exhibits as part of the Tukwila Pond
Park Project.
Section 3. The City's share for the project will be derived from the 301 Funds.
Section 4. This resolution shall become part of a formal application to the
Department of Natural Resources.
