A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, REJECTING THE BID SUBMITTED BY
TYDICO, INC. FOR THE 1997 SMALL DRAINAGE PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were solicited for the 1997 Small Drainage Projects; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened and read aloud by the City Clerk on August 26, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the bids were analyzed following the bid opening to determine the lowest responsible
bidder; and
'WHEREAS, analysis of the Bid Proposals revealed that Tydico, Inc.'s bid did not meet the required
minimum bid amount of $26.00 per hour for Traffic Control Labor as required in the Contract
Specifications under Bid Item No. 4 Traffic Control Labor, on page SP -25 of the Special Provisions section;
and
WHEREAS, the language in this section of the Special Provisions of the Contract Specifications
requires the rejection of any bid not meeting the minimum rate for traffic control labor;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Tydico, Inc. Bid Proposal for the 1997 Small Drainage Projects is hereby rejected as non-
responsive due to an irregularity in the amount for Traffic Control Labor.
