HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 1422 - Public Hearing for Street Vacation of South 158th Street ..11LA,. ..1,�, s. 0 l'2r so 1908 City Washington Resolution No. oU A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, FIXING THE TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR VACATION OF SOUTH 158 STREET FROM MILITARY ROAD TO APPROXIMATELY 675 FEET EASTERLY, AND MILITARY ROAD FROM SOUTH 158' STREET TO APPROXIMATELY 125 FEET SOUTHERLY. WHEREAS, property owners abutting the right -of -way have petitioned to vacate South 158 Street from Military Road to approximately 675 feet easterly, and Military Road from South 158 Street to approximately 125 feet southerly; and WHEREAS, RCW 35.79.010 requires setting a public hearing by resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. A public hearing upon the vacation of a portion of South 158 Street from Military Road to approximately 675 feet easterly, and Military Road from South 158 Street to approximately 125 feet southerly shall be held before the Tukwila City Council in the City Council Chambers at Tukwila City Hall, 6200 Southcenter Blvd., Tukwila, Washington, on Monday, July 19, 1999, which is not less than twenty (20) nor more than sixty (60) days from the date of passage of this resolution, at which time all persons interested in said right -of -way vacation are invited to appear and be heard. Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to post written notice of pendency of the public hearing in three public places in the City of Tukwila and in one additional conspicuous place on the right -of -way sought to be vacated at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing.
