RESOLUTION NO. 702
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S ANNUAL
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FOR 1980, AND REALLOCATING
PRIOR YEARS FUNDS FROM THE INTERURBAN AVENUE PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the projects adopted for the 1980 Block Grant Program are
located in the target area of Tukwila as stated in the three -year Community
Development Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Tukwila 1980 Community Development Block
Program (July 1, 1980 -June 30, 1981) established pursuant to the Federal Housing
and Community Development Act of 1974 shall be as follows:
1. Tukwila Park Lights $9,200.00
2. Southgate Community Ctr.Improvements 4,991.00
3. Block Grant Coordinator Salary 1,800.00
TOTAL 1980 POPULATION FUNDS $15,991.00
Section 2. Prior years allocations to the Interurban Avenue Project
in the amount of $21,810 is cancelled and transferred to the following program:

*Total project cost is estimated to be $113,000. The balance
not applied for herein will be a local share by the City of
Tukwila in the amount of $42,990.

Section 3. The Tukwila City Council authorizes the Mayor to make appli-
cation for block grant funds available under the Housing and Community Development
Act of 1974 consistent with this resolution.
Section 4. The Mayor is authorized to enter into such contracts as
necessary with the King County Consortium in order to receive authorization for
spending.
