HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0102 - Assessment Roll for SidewalksORDINANCE NO 102 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ASSESS= ROLL FOR THE CCarSTRUC& TION OF SIDEWALKS IN THE TOWN OF TUKWILA AND DECLARING THE MOUNTS ASSESSED AGAINST THE VARIOUS PROPERTIES, A LIEN THEREON. WHEREAS, By the authority of Resolution No. 23, regularly passed by the Council of the Totivn of Tukwila, the construction, at the expense of the abutting properties, of sidewalks in the Town of Tukwila, was duly ordered and such order approved by the Mayor and said sidewalks were thereafter duly constructed by the Town of Tukwila, and; WHEREAS, Under date of May 10th, 1923, an assessment roll was duly prepared and filed with the Council of the Town of Tukwila by the Town Clerk, setting forth the Lots by their proper descrip- tion, together with,. the names of the owners thereof and the propor- tionate amounts to be assessed against the various properties, and; WHEREAS, By appropriate resolution the Town Council pet the 14th day of June, 1923, as the date for the hearing upon said asse ment roll and caused due notice of such hearing to be published in. manner and form according to law, and; WHEREAS, On due hearing had on. June 14th, 1923, the said assess ment roll was duly approved as to the properties described in the amount due thereon. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF TUKWILA; Section 1. That the Assessment Roll, prepared by the Town Clerk, for the various sidewalks described in the Town of Tukwila and presented to the Town Council under date of May 10th, 1923, be, and the same is, hereby approved for and in the sum set opposite the properties below described: Description. That the above specified amounte shall at once become a lien upon the above described properties to the extent of said assessment and shall be certified to the Treasurer of the Tomtit of Tukwila for the collection in accordance with the terms of Ordinance No. 99 of the Town of Tukwila. Section. 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
