RESOLUTION NO. 705
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL STATING THE CITY'S INTENTION TO
REALLOCATE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Block Grant Walkways Project is an approved population
project of the City of Tukwila, and;
WHEREAS, additional funds are necessary for the Block Grant Walkways
Project, and;
WHEREAS, the City has excess funds available in the Block Grant
Utility Undergrounding and Home Security Project accounts, and;
WHEREAS, a transfer of funds to the Walkways Project would conform
to the goals and objectives of the Housing and Community Development Act of
1974.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA THAT BLOCK GRANT POPULATION FUNDS BE REALLOCATED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Funds from Community Development Project #770 -77 Utility
Undergrounding, totaling $1,660.00, be transferred to Community Development
Project #510 -77, Walkway Improvements.
Section 2. Funds from Community Development Project #A114 -79, Home
Security Program, in the amount of $1,221.00, be transferred to Community
Development Project #510 -77, Walkway Improvements.
Section 3. The funds as transferred to the Block Grant Walkway Project
will increase that account by $2,881.00.
Section 4. The Mayor of the City of Tukwila is authorized to enter
into any such contracts as necessary with King County in order to receive an
authorization for spending.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 9F THE CITY AF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a
regular meeting thereof, this G day of 1979.
