RESOLUTION NO. 723
A RESOLUTION ALLOWING FOR THE PARTICIPATION OF
THE CITY OF TUKWILA WITH THE SOLID WASTE MANAGE-
MENT BOARD OF THE PUGET SOUND COUNCIL OF GOVERN-
MENTS, IN THE PREPARATION OF AN UPDATED SOLID
WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR KING COUNTY.
WHEREAS, Resolution 555, adopted October 4, 1976, by the Tukwila
City Council provided for participation in the preparation of a joint
Solid Waste Management Plan for King County, and
WHEREAS, the King Subregional Council of the Puget Sound Council
of Governments has been designated by the State of Washington and the
Environmental Protection Agency as the King County Solid Waste Management
Board with the responsibility for the development of revisions to the
existing comprehensive long range solid waste management plan for King
County, originally adopted in 1976, and
WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Management Board of the Subregional
Council recommends that each City within its jurisdiction agree to
participate with the Board in preparing a joint plan for needed revisions,
and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that administrative costs of
preparing the plan should be borne proportionately (per capita) by the
participating jurisdictions, with Tukwila's proportionate share totaling
$108.63.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
at a regular meeting thereof this 70- day of 1980.
That the City of Tukwila shall participate with the Sub
regional Council in the joint drafting of revisions to
the Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan for King
County and shall bear the proportionate administrative
expenses of $108.63.
