RESOLUTION NO. 737
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE IMPROVE-
MENT OF PORTIONS OF SOUTH 152nd STREET AND 57th AVENUE SOUTH
BY ACQUISITION OF ADDITIONAL RIGHT -OF -WAY, WIDENING, GRADING,
SIDEWALKS, STORM AND SANITARY SEWERS, WATER FACILITIES, UNDER-
GROUND UTILITIES, AND ELIMINATION SYSTEM, AND TO CREATE A
LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO ASSESS THE COSTS AND EXPENSE
OF CARRYING OUT SUCH IMPROVEMENTS AGAINST THE PROPERTY
SPECIALLY BENEFITED THEREBY, AND SETTING A HEARING TO
RECEIVE OBJECTIONS THERETO.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tukwila as
Section 1. It is intention of the City Council of the City of Tukwila,
Washington, to order the improvement to portions of South 152nd Street and 57th
Avenue South, within the City of Tukwila, Washington. The territorial extent
of the improvements is described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this
reference incorporated fully herein.
Section 2. The total estimated costs and expense of the improvement
is declared to be $275,000, which shall be borne by, and be assessed against,
the property specially benefited by said improvement, to be included in a Local
Improvement District to be established embracing, as nearly as may be possible,
all property specially benefited by such improvement.
Section 3. The nature of the improvements are as follows: improving
South 152nd Street and 57th Avenue South by the acquisition of additional
right -of -way, grading, widening, paving, installation of curb and gutters, side-
walks, storm and sanitary sewers, water facilities, underground utilities and
illumination system.
Section 4. All persons who may desire to object to the improvements
herein described are notified to appear and present their objections at a meeting
to be held in the Council Chambers in the Tukwila City Hall, 6200 Southcenter
Boulevard, Tukwila, Washington, at 7:00 p.m. on June 23, 1980.
Section 5. Horton Dennis Associates, consulting engineers, are
hereby authorized to proceed with engineering work required to prepare the
preliminary assessment roll and to make mailings to property owners and are
hereby directed to submit to the City Council on or prior to June 23, 1980,
all data and information required by law to be submitted to the City.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
at a regular meeting thereof this 19th day of May, 1980.
