RESOLUTION NO. 742
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH NUTRITION PROJECTS FOR THE ELDERLY TO CON-
TINUE THE MEALS ON WHEELS PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Tukwila
and Nutrition Projects for the Elderly relative to the Meals on Wheels
home delivered meal service to the elderly expires on June 30, 1980, and
WHEREAS, the Meals on Wheels program has proven to be very
successful in the Tukwila area, and the City wishes to continue with
the program.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an agreement
for services with Nutrition Projects for the Elderly
for continuation of the Meals on Wheels Program. Said
agreement is attached hereto and incorporated as though
fully set forth herein.

MEALS ON WHEELS
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
Amendment 1. Senior Services and Centers (SSC) shall sell and
deliver additional meals to the City for $.75 as
ordered from the menu furnished by SSC. The
City shall suggest a contribution of $.75 per
meal from Meals on Wheels participants. No one
shall be denied a meal because of inability to
pay all or part of the cost of a meal. If the
revenue generated by this contribution policy is
less than $.75 per meal, SSC shall take this
into consideration in its charges to the City
and meals shall not be denied to the City because
of participants' inability to pay.
Amendment 2. This Memorandum of Agreement is extended to
June 30, 1981, by mutual agreement of the parties.
