A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUKWILA IN SUPPORT OF THE KING COUNTY
HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SUBSIDIZED HOUSING
FOR SENIOR CITIZENS.

WHEREAS, the King County Office of Housing and Community
Development has initiated a unique program to meet the senior citizens'
housing needs, and
WHEREAS, the Office of Housing and Community Development has
asked for a declaration of support in applying for joint block grant
funds for Senior Housing Programs, and
WHEREAS, affordable housing for elderly members of the King
County area is recognized as vital to the welfare of the community.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The City of Tukwila declares its support of King County
in their efforts to obtain joint block grant funds for
the initiation and development of the Senior Housing
Program.
