A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
FIXING THE TIME WHEN THE PETITION WILL BE HEARD
ON THE VACATION OF A STREET.
WHEREAS. W. W. Hoffner and Leslie N. Davis have petitioned
the City for street vacation of that portion of South 168th Street
lying easterly of 53rd Avenue South, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 35.79.010, the legislative
authority by resolution shall fix a time when the petition will be heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The Tukwila City Council hereby sets the 21st day of July,
1981, to hear the petition on the vacation of South 168th Street lying
easterly of 53rd Avenue South, as requested by the above named petitioners.

TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON.
Come now the undersigned petitioners and, pursuant to RCW Chapter 35.79,
respectfully show:
The undersigned petitioners request that the following described portion
of South 168th in the City of Tukwila be vacated pursuant to RCW
Chapter 35.79: (describe portion).
An area of 60' x 220' fronting on 53rd ave South and ending at the I -5
Freeway fence.
Each of the undersigned petitioners is the owner of an interest in real
estate abutting on the above described portion.
The undersigned petitioners have submitted the required_$150_fee forthe above
described street vacation request pursuant to Ordinance #1006 of the City of
Tukwila.
Respectfully submitted.

The undersigned respectfully request a vacation of property
the City of Tukwilla. As shown on the attached drawing, it
60' X 220' between property owned by Leslie N. Davis and W.
Both property owners are in full agreement as to a division
with 30' to Mr. Davis, and 30' to Mr. Hoffner.
Puget Per has an easement through the property consisting
underground transmission line.

Mr. Hoffner has been maintaining this property for 16 years, with the help
of Mr. Davis for the last 4 years. So instead of an unsightly mass of weeds
and blackberries covering the land it is an asset to the neighborhood, and
will continue to be taken care of.
In the four years that r1r. Davis has owned the property at 16660 53rd South,
it has been vandalized at least 6 times. This consisted of gas thefts
and the loss of a $600.00 electric winch attached to a truck.
Mr. Davis would like to construct a two car attached garage to his property
to stop any more thefts, but at the present time does not have enough
land to build with the necessary side setback required by ordinance.
As the. street South 168th ends at the freeway fence, it can readily be seen
that it will never be used as a street and as a result has little or no
value to anyone except the adjoining property owners.
The transmission line and the size of the property precludes any building
on the property, so it will always remain open space.

3616281, records of King County, Washington, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 8, Block 2, Valley View
Homes, as recorded in Volume 56 of Plats, page 81, records of
King County; thence S 1 °03'56 "W 30.00 feet to the East -West Center-
line of Section 26, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W.M. said
County; thence S 88 °05'42 "E along said centerline, to the Westerly
margin of Primary State ,Highway No. 1; thence Northerly along said
Westerly margin to a point which bears S 88 °05'42 "E from the point
of beginning; thence N 88 °05'42 "W to said point of beginning.
