HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 0791 - Interlocal Agreement - River Bank Repairs at Foster Golf Course RESOLUTION NO. 791 WHEREAS, there are areas of the river bank adjacent to Foster Municipal Golf Course that are in dire need of repair, and WHEREAS, for the protection and welfare of the Golf Course, these repairs need to be done now to stay within the time line for con- struction set by the State Game Department, and WHEREAS, King County's Division of Water Surface Management has proposed to do the repair work at 50% matching funds, and WHEREAS, the money is available in the Golf Course Special Rev- enue Fund (Account 101). Apdroved as to Form A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY FOR RIVER BANK REPAIRS AT FOSTER MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with King County to perform the rip rap repair on the river bank adjacent to Foster Municipal Golf Course. Section 2. The City of Tukwila shall agree to share the funding of the project up to 50% but not to exceed a total. expense o $20,650. Section 3. Expenses for the project shall be paid out of Golf Course Special Revenue Fund, Account No. 101. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a regular meeting thereof this 7th day of July 1981. ATTEST: City Attorney Lawrence Hard Frank Todd Mayor Maxine Anderson City Clerk KING COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION OF SURFACE WATER MANAGEMENT J JOB AGREEMENT Design and permit acquisition 2,770.00 Survey, inspection and contract administration 4,400.00 Rock Rip -rap 13,600.00 Excavation 2,880.00 Access 1,400.00 Clearing 1,200.00 Mobilization 800.00 27,050.00 Indirect Costs 350.00 This job agreement, hereafter known as Foster Revetment '81, involves a portion of land along the left bank of the Duwamish River, more specifically located in the S.E. 4 of Section 14, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W.M. This work agreement between the City of Tukwila, the landowner and the King County Director of Public Works involves the following: design, permit acquisition, survey, inspection and contract administration, shaping bank and placing rock rip -rap, access, clearing and mobilization. Under Resolution x19864, King County Department of Public Works Division of Surface Water Management agrees to participate as follows: King County Division of Surface Water Management agrees to construct approximately 132 lineal feet of stream bank revetment for which the above named property owner agrees to pay 50% of the estimated amount as stated below: Total Project Costs $27,400.00 This agreement is premised solely on the estimate as indicated above and should additional works be mutually agreed upon, the 50% cost share shall prevail. The landowner will submit the amount of $13,700.00, before the above described work is started. A cashier's check will be made payable to the King County Comptroller and mailed to King County Department of Public Works, Surface Water Management Division, Room 976 King County Administration Building, Seattle, Washington, 98104. Should the amount paid by the landowner constitute more than 50% of the total job cost, the landowner will be reim- bursed that amount in excess of 50 The landowner will not as a result of this agreement be responsible for costs in excess of $13,700.00. It has been the policy of King County to maintain stream bank revetments constructed by and for King County to the extent funds have been appropriated by the King County Council for such purposes.
